Naguib Gebrael, head of the Egyptian Union of Human Rights Organization, described the representation of the Copts in the next parliament as shameful.
He explained that 24 chairs in the parliament don’t represent the actual number of Christians in Egypt.
Gebrael added that he expected that Coptic representation wouldn’t be less than 55 chairs, especially with the great sacrifice of the Copts in the revolution of June 30.
He also described Copts who will run for elections on lists of the Salafi Al-Nour Party, as traitors to the nation and the church as well.
