The veterinary committee of the Salafi-oriented Nour Party’s secretariat in Beheira province organized a vet convoy to treat birds and animals of farmers for free, within campaigns launched by the party ahead of the elections in response to the party’s presidential council decision.
Mohamed Hawash, secretary-general of the committee, said that the party leaders have special attention toward farmers and their problems. He highlighted the importance of the veterinary side for farmers as they get help with the cattle in farming.
The party, according to Hawash, renders a lot of services to citizens through organizing medical convoys to treat the poor for free or charity markets for those of low incomes.
In related news, Abdel Hakeem Massoud, deputy secretary general of the party in Beni Suef province, was able to reconcile between two families who had a blood feud for more than 40 years ago causing death of many youth from the two families.
Meanwhile, the party’s presidential council will hold a meeting on Monday to ratify the names of its candidates running for parliamentary elections.
Mohamed Khalifa, the party spokesperson, said the candidates are expected to grab a high rate of parliamentary seats. “Most of the civil alliances will fail as they don’t have joint patriotic grounds,” he added.
The party will hold a press conference next week to declare names of the candidates, its electoral platform as well as its stance toward the electoral alliances, said Ahmed Shokry, member of the party’s supreme authority.
