Egypt is working on decreasing the number of its diplomatic representatives abroad in an effort to cut down on expenses, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Tuesday.
During a meeting with youth Egyptian communities abroad, Sisi stressed that the downsizing plan will not affect the consulate services provided to Egyptian expatriates, according to a presidential statement.
The meeting was organised by the ministry of youth and sports, in cooperation with the ministry of manpower and immigration.
