Former presidential candidate Hamdeen Sabbahi denied in statement Tuesday launching a popular campaign to topple President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
In his talk show aired at al-Balad TV Monday, host Ahmed Mousa slammed Sabahi, along with other political figures, accusing them of “attempting to destabilize the country lessening the achievements made by the current regime” through launching a campaign dubbed “not my president.”
In a statement published on his facebook page Tuesday, Sabbahi described the claims as “totally untrue”, calling on media outlets not to publish any news related to him in the future unless it was released by his official media office or said directly by him.
