President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi was chosen as the “best political figure” for 2014 according to The Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research (Baseera) Monday, in which Sisi garnered a 54 percent vote.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab came in the second place, followed by the former chairman of the 50-member committee Amr Moussa. About 7 percent of Egyptians said that there was not a real good political figure in Egypt during 2014, while 33 percent answered that they did not know.
Baseera said this poll has been conducted for annually since three years, and that Sisi also won the first place during 2013, with 45 percent, followed by Moussa.
Previous polls were conducted by Baseera earlier regarding president Sisi, as back during Nov. 2014, it was said that 8 percent of Egyptians approving of the performance of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi five months into his presidency.
In December 2014, Baseera announced that 86 percent of Egyptians approved of the performance of President Sisi after 6 months of his administration.
