Ambassador Fayez Jibril, Ambassador of Libya in Cairo, denounced kidnapping the 20 Copts by ISIS terrorist organization at their houses in Libya.
He expressed his sadness for such terrorist acts, especially as they didn’t announce certain demands yet, which means they only target the Coptic Christians based on their religious identity.
For his part, Ambassador Badr Abdel-Aty, spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign ministry, said Egypt is doing its best to return those Egyptian citizens safe to their homeland.
Magdy Malak, Coptic activist, said it is very difficult to negotiate with the kidnappers, especially under the current state of chaos and civil war in Libya.
