Dr. Shawki Allam, Mufti of Egypt said during his meeting with Mr. Msagos Zulk, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Singapore, that Islam encourages peace and not violence.
He explained that Egypt exerts much effort to face fanaticism in Egypt by founding a specified institute to mark and respond to fanatic fatwas.
He added that many people have issued fatwas however they are not experts and are not qualified to practice fatwas.
