Six Egyptian military personnel in a United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Ivory Coast died in a car accident resulting from bad weather, according to a Wednesday Ministry of Defense statement.
The victims, whose vehicle rolled over, include two captains, two privates, a corporal, and a first assistant, according to the statement.
The UN Operation in the Ivory Coast helps maintain peace in the African country after conflicting parties signed a peace agreement in 2003.
