Update: FM denies kidnapping of Egyptian workers Libya

News published on a number of Egyptian outlets Thursday, including early statements to Youm7, announced that 10 Egyptian workers had been kidnapped in Tripoli.
 
Al-Watan reported that Counselor Mahmoud Gebriel from the administrative prosecution issued a statement to the consular sector saying that 2 of his brothers were kidnapped in Libya along with others working in the architecture field.
 
On Sunday the Islamic State group in Libya released a video of the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians that had been kidnapped in early January from the city of Sirte.
 
Shortly after releasing the video, the Egyptian airforce launched airstrikes on alleged IS bases in Derna in cooperation with the Libyan Army using six fighter jets of F-16C block 52.
 
Military planes took off from the military airbase in the west of Cairo to the Marsa Matrouh International Airport, where then they moved and launched six airstrikes, allegedly killing an approximated 50 suspected IS militants.
