Port Said security director dismissed over poor security measures
Minster of Interior Mohamed Ibrahim dismissed the security director of the Port Said governorate following surprise inspection to the check security measures of checkpoints and the new Suez Canal, Youm7 reported Thursday.

It was added that Ibrahim noticed poor measures during his visit which forced him to dismiss the security director, and to appoint his deputy Major Feisal Dwedar as the new director.

On Feb. 16, seven security directors at the Interior Ministry were replaced, along with 6 assistants to Minister Mohamed Ibrahim, and 9 department heads in a major shuffle.

The reassignments were reported to “improve the security performance especially during the current situations all over the country,” Major General Abd Al-Fatah Osman, the minister’s assistant for Media Affairs and Relations told Youm7 Thursday.
