Egypt’s High Constitutional Court set March 1 to issue its ruling whether the new parliament election law is constitutional.
Four cases have been filed before the Constitutional Court calling for the cancelling of elections of the House of the Representatives which are scheduled to begin March 21.
The Commissioners’ Authority of the High Constitutional Court submitted Saturday to the court panel a report advising that some articles in the law governing the locations of constituencies are unconstitutional.
Wednesday session is the deadline for the court to consider the law cases and the final verdict will be announced Sunday.
