Father Poulos Halim, spokesman for the Coptic Orthodox Church, said that Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, met today with families of the 21 Coptic martyrs of Libya, in Samalot.
The Pope had thanked President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi for his strong reaction to avenge the blood of his sons.
Pope said that the Coptic church has presented so many martyrs across its history, and invited the people learn a craft and avoid traveling abroad, epically with places with civil war such as Libya.
He also assured the 21 Coptic martyrs are honored as martyrs in our Coptic Orthodox Church.
