Rules of the Supreme Constitutional Court and Administrative Justice keeps exposing sins of the Egyptian Constitution written by the fifty members committee. Now, we should doubt all settled articles of this constitution since the members were not constitutional experts.
Thus, we should pay for such big mistake every now and then. The recent problem caused by this constitution is allowing the Egyptians with dual citizenship to be nominated in the parliamentary elections. It’s known that those who get the American citizenship should take the oath of allegiance to the US.
In such oath, they promise to respect the American Constitution, serve in the American army upon the request of the American government, and abandon all loyalty to princes and kings…etc. The same also happens with other nationalities.
How can we trust such person who took an oath of allegiance to two countries, and should break one of them to fulfill the other. How can we allow him to represent us in the Parliament and may learn many secrets about the Egyptian army giving his critical position.
There are so many reasons to refuse Egyptians with dual citizenships to be nominated for the parliamentary elections. I don't say that all of them are treaters, but I assure that we take such procedures in order to protect Egypt.
