A fire has destroyed three cars in the Torgoman parking lot in downtown Cairo, an eyewitness told Al-Ahram newspaper.
Local residents heard a loud explosion on Tuesday morning when as car tires exploded in a blast.
"The fire alarms didn't work and only one ambulance reached the area," the eyewitness added.
Torgoman car park near Ramses train station is where downtown street vendors were moved by the government in August last year.
The cause of the fire has not been determined yet.
No injuries were reported.
