A metro driver suffered burns to his leg after assailants threw a Molotov cocktail at his cabin in a metro train Wednesday, reported Youm7.
Eye witnesses told Youm7 the bomb was thrown from a pedestrian bridge and landed on the cabin’s windshield, causing a fire.
The injured driver was taken to the hospital to receive treatment. The metro movement was reportedly halted for a few minutes after the incident.
The metro train was heading to Helwan, southern Cairo, and the explosive was thrown as the train passed through the Hadayek el-Maadi station.
