Coptic people of Abnoub and New Assiut celebrated yesterday the inauguration of St. John in Abnoub after it was demolished during the events of teh dispersal of Rabaa Adawia and Nahda sit-ins.The celebration included many shows and was attended by many Muslim and Christian people in addition to many officials.
Other demolished churches are currently being reconstructed after they were demolished at the same attacks.
Abba Lucas, Bishop of Abnoub and Fath, said that the celebration was full of national spirit, and offered thanks to the Armed Forces and President Abdul Fatah al-Sisi for fulfilling their promise to restore the demolished churches after the dispersal of Rabaa Adawia and Nahda sit-ins.
