Resurrection is a deep word that we can contemplate with. While we are getting closer to Easter, we should seize the opportunity to think deeply upon the meaning of resurrection. In fact, the word "resurrection" gives us the hope for a better life. Imagine one day you are thinking about your fate after death, and you said to yourself, "There is no hope for me as long as I will die and this is my end." It must be so depressing when you have this feeling.
One day one of my friends asked me how people will live in the eternal life. Will they feel bored after awhile? At this time, I told her that you are thinking this way because your mind is limited. You are measuring life in heaven with the same standard of your life on earth.
As a matter of fact, our nature will be different in heaven than our nature on the earth because we can’t have the same nature we have on the earth as heaven. Heaven is a place of no pain as the Bible says. It mentions that every tear will be wiped from our eyes.
Back to our main topic, the word resurrection. For me, resurrection means hope, compensation, and justice. Resurrection lets think about the these three simple words. The hope that you will have better life and you will meet all people you love and enjoy living with, together with Jesus. It also means hope of not bring in pain any more. Compensation, when God compensates those people who suffered from disease, persecution, missing families, when Jesus compensated the martyrs that died for His name's sake. Take the martyrs in Libya as an example. When I think about how much compensation should those people receive I feel so excited at least to see them honored in the heaven.
The last word I derive from Resurrecion is justice. Justice to those who suffered from injustice and they couldn’t find someone defend or feel them. It's a really amazing feeling to feel relieved of your pain and enjoy a new nature. So the only question left for you, is do you believe in the resurrection, and are you working to enjoy this moment?
