The Egyptian stock exchange and all banks operating in the country are to close on 12 and 13 April, reported Al-Ahram Arabic news website.
The public holiday is for Coptic Christian Easter and Sham El-Nessim, a celebration linked directly to ancient Egypt marking the beginning of spring.
