Father Daniel Tayeb, priest of St. George Church in Qena of the Coptic Catholic, said that building the church stopped 22 years ago in spite of obtaining the due permits from the presidency and the interior ministry.
He explained that this happened in 1993, and they started praying at the third floor of the Catholic school which was burned twice by unknown people to prevent them from praying there.
It's worth mentioning that the building was stopped ever since for security reasons as claimed by police.
