Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patrairch of St. Mark See, will travel to Yerevan, capital of the Republic of Armenia on April 20, to participate in the revival of the centennial anniversary of the Ottoman massacre against Armenians.
Spokesman for the Coptic Orthodox Church said that the visit is the first of its kind and lasts for one week.
The estimated number of Armenians who were killed between 1915 and 1917 before the fall of the Ottoman Empire to 1.5 million people.
