Copts at Galaa village start today the restoration work of St. Mary Church in Galaa, Minya.
This comes after long customary reconciliation sessions held between Copts and Muslims of the village since several fanatics refuse to allow the Copts to rebuild a church in the village.
The old church was built 38 years ago using mud brick that collapsed and had to be rebuilt.
It’s worth mentioning that the Copts donated a piece of land to build a mosque in order to be allowed to build the church. Soon, the mosque was built, but the Copts were preventing from building the church by fanatics and police.
