Egypt PM in Jakarta for Asian-African summit
Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab traveled on Monday night to Indonesia's capital Jakarta, leading the Egyptian delegation at the 6th Asian-African summit which takes place every ten years, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
 
The summit takes place on 19-24 April in Jakarta and Bandung, with the Leaders Meeting taking place on Wednesday and Thursday.
 
Investment Minister Ashraf Salman also traveled with the prime minister. 
 
The Asia-African Business Summit will be held Tuesday and Wednesday.
 
"Delegates from 109 Asian and African countries, 16 observer countries, and 25 international organisations are invited to participate in this important event," according to the conference's website.
 
The conference aims at "stronger partnership" between countries of both continents and to "share experiences in enhancing both regions' economic development."
