Archangel Cathedral of the Coptic Orthodox in Assiut held prayer ceremony to enthrone Abba Yoannis as Bishop of Assiut.
This came in the presence of Yasser Dessouky, governor of Assiut, several officials, political and religious leaders as well as thousands of Copts from various sects.
The ceremony began with prayers and hymns of the enthronement, which was headed by a number of bishops, monks, and representatives of different churches and denominations.
