Mayor of Kafr Darwish village in Beni Suef was suspended from work while investigations after he participated in a customary reconciliation session that agreed to expel 5 families who are relatives to the illiterate Copt, Ayman Youssef Tawfeek, who has published cartoons that were considered offensive to Islam. A customary reconciliation session was held in the house of the mayor of Alfashn village, in the presence of a number of security leaders, Islamic and Christian clergy and representatives of some Muslim and Christian families. 
 
His wife, children, father and brothers were among the expelled families, just as they are his relatives.
