Copts of Algalaa village, in Minia Governorate, sent maritime distress to Ibrahim Mahlab, Egyptian Prime Minister, to tell him about harassments from some Muslims in village since the church construction began in the village.
Coptic man said that one Copt of the village inhabitants said that some fanatic Muslims attacked and assaults Copts of the village. He added that they also uprooted some plantations that are owned by Copts as well as insults and curses, and when they go to Liberate official records in police station they threat them that they will stop the church construction.
It’s worth mentioning that the last attack targeted a Coptic man called Gamal Halim caused severe injuries to him. The criminals hit him badly with white weapons, which led to break his skull and fractures all over this body. He was then transferred to intensive care of "The Good Shepherd” Hospital in Samalout, in dangerous health condition.
Although his family reported police against four Muslim defendants, namely: Fergan Ahmed Masoud, Amr Mohammad Youssef and Abdul Hadi Mohammed, and Ahmed Shaaban Abdel-Hadi, police didn't pay attention for the matter at first. Then, two of them were arrested, but released them later.
