British Ambassador to Egypt John Casson has launched an employability program that will offer up to 2,000 scholarships to young Egyptians, according to a U.K. embassy press release Tuesday.
The program is designed to equip Egyptian fresh graduates with the professional skills needed in the market.
The International Academy for Advanced Research and Studies, in partnership with Pearson Council and the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will run the program.
The program offers training in different fields, such as business administration, industry and sales management.
The scholarships winners will be awarded London Chamber of Commerce and Industry International Qualifications, recognized by universities, employers, and professional bodies in over 120 countries, the release reads.
“Young people are Egypt’s greatest asset. We must all unlock that potential by giving them the skills to get good jobs, fulfill their ambitions and power Egypt’s future,” said Casson.
