A number of Egyptian Drilling Company workers protested Thursday in front of the back gate of the Cabinet headquarters on Hussein Hegazy Street, to demand return to work and the disbursement of overdue paychecks over two years old.
The company management dismissed workers, although they have been working with the company for over 10 years, according to protesting workers.
They added the company has held out on giving them their paychecks.
Workers submitted many complaints to the Labor Office and the Petroleum Ministr , and filed many pending lawsuits against the company at South Cairo Court, they said.
