Elizabeth II, Queen of Britain decided to honor two Egyptian characters; namely Abba Angelos, bishop of Britain, and Dr. Nemat Shafik, Deputy Governor of England Bank.
Coptic Orthodox Church announced in a statement that Abba Angelos will be honbored for his efforts in serving religious freedom in the world, while honoured Dr. Mervat will be honored for her efforts of serving the public administration and the global economy.
John Kasn, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Egypt, said that Shafiq and Bishop Angelos devoted their life to serve others and became a source of inspiration for both British and Egyptian young people. People in Britain, Egypt and even the whole world, recognize their achievements and contributions.
