Ahmed Maher, mayor of Kafr Darwish village, left his position as a mayor after his resignation to General Mohammed Abu Taleb, director of security Beni Suef.
The resigned mayor of Kafr Darwish indicted with harshly criticizing in a large number of Egyptian media and newspapers after his agreement to expel 5 Coptic families from the village for a week and allowing them to return their homes by a customary reconciliation session, after accusing their son of contempt of Islam on his page on "Facebook".
