Hanan Nabil, coordinator of Copts 38 Association said that the common law marriage is not a requirement in Christianity, but some persons who complain from personal status law and the absence of moderation solutions in church used it as alternatives to pressure on Church.
She added that the association does not support common-law marriage as a solution to the crisis, but do not oppose it as well.
She assured that the association is studying ways to legalize the divorce for the Copts, and ways to escalate and internationalize second marriage for the Copts.
