Supreme Criminal Court in Minya governorate decided to postpone the trial of five accused Copts in the sectarian strife of Abu Qurqas to another session next December.Supreme Criminal Court in Minya governorate decided to postpone the trial of five accused Copts in the sectarian strife of Abu Qurqas to another session next December.

Mounir Sami, lawyer of the accused five Copts, asked the court to postpone the case to provide a picture or a certificate from the judgment of the unconstitutionality law number 195 , which led to imprison the five Copts under trial before the Supreme emergency security court.

It is worth mentioning that the criminal court in Minya had sentenced ten accused Copts to life imprisonment and eight Muslims defendants to 15-years in prison in the same case.

The sectarian strife occurred due to the establishment of a road bump, which led to an accident between a car and a Auto rickshaw.
