Dr. Wagdy Thabet, a professor in Faculty of Law at La Rochelle University in France, assured that there was no crime in the Egyptian penal code named as proselytizing or evangelization and there is no crime and no punishment for this matter.
He added on his account on Facebook that the prosecutor who ordered the arrest of the Coptic youth who were accused of proselytizing in Alexandria for distributing food on the Muslims have committed a great mistake and must be punished for his ignorance of Egyptian law.
