Michael Munir, Head of Al Haya Party and Coptic activist, called for adding substance to the personal status law that bans changing religion for Christian minors without the agreement of their parent.Munir added that he had negotiated this matter with the former regime of Hosni Mubarak for preventing phenomenon of enforced disappearance of minor Coptic girls, but it was refused since it violates the Islamic Sharia.
Munir said that the process of Islamization of minors will be continued under the influence of emotional or physical shall continue if such article doesn’t exist.
