General Mohab Mamish, the chairman of the Suez Canal Authority has invited Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark See, to attend the opening ceremony of the new Suez channel.
He thanked His Holiness for the support that was shown by the Coptic Church for the new Suez Canal.
For his part, Pope Tawadros II congratulated Mamish on the great success of the experimental operations and achievements of the new Suez canal, which were carried out in a quick time within one year only.
