The Right Honourable David Cameron
Prime Minster of the United Kingdom

Dear Mr Cameron
I am writing to you as a British citizen, Egyptian born and a Copt with deep sense of belonging and gratitude to this country which nurtured my youth dreams till fulfilment; I adore it and love its values.I am writing to you as a British citizen, Egyptian born and a Copt with deep sense of belonging and gratitude to this country which nurtured my youth dreams till fulfilment; I adore it and love its values.

I watched with admiration your Easter encouraging message and your commitment to speak out and support persecuted Christians and others persecuted minorities all over the world.

As an activist Copt from Egypt since mid 1990s who is in touch with Copts here and abroad I would like to say with all sincerity that you should meet and encourage Mr El-Sissie who is loved by almost all the Copts and the enlightened Muslims in and outside Egypt, this man is the only Muslim leader who dared to say that the Muslim jurisprudence needs revolutionary rethinking in his new years speech in Front of Al-Azhar scholars, the breeding ground to the fundamentalist ideology, by saying that he made no friends amongst them but he had the courage and vision to say so, the Western leaders could not say so.   He visited the cathedral in Cairo during the Christmas mass, not once an Egyptian leader did similar act in the entire Egyptian history and many more.

Please Mr Cameron do not listen to the powerful media apparatus of the Muslim brotherhood and welcome Mr El-Sissie as the man who is fighting terrorism on behalf of the whole world, many in his position would have not bothered to take this great risk.

Thank you.
