My wife and I watched an Indian movie that impressed us with great values of love. It’s known that Indian movies have a special taste of joy mixed with sadness and sacrifice for the beloved, but this one really impressed us.
We were first moved by the decent dances in the movie. They were dancing as part of a wedding celebration. The pride had to go with a young man to take her to the fiancé who works as officer in the Bakistani Army.
In their way, her life was threatened and saved by the young man. They started to love one another, but they knew there is no hope for such love.
The bride groom decided to get rid of the young man just for loving his woman, and reported the Bakistani police about him accusing him of conspiring against the Pakistani state.
The young man was arrested, and was imprisoned for several years. Yet, a young lawyer decided to open the case knowing the man is innocent.
She investigated the matter and knew that the pride has lost her husband and family. She provided the lawyer with all information to acquit her beloved man.
The lawyer explained to the judge that the man was accused only because he is Hindus and her husband was a Muslim.
The judge acquitted the man after he was imprisoned for 22 years. He also ordered to compensate the man for his suffering for long years in prison.
I hope we learn in Egypt how to respect other people regardless of their color and religion since Egypt is the homeland for all Egyptians.
