Egypt trains 600 African physicians in 57357 Cancer Hospital: Sisi

The Egyptian Children’s Cancer Hospital (57357) will train 600 physicians from Nile Basin Countries over the upcoming three years, said President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi during his meeting with editors-in-chief of various African newspapers Monday.

The hospital will treat children with cancer from the Nile Basin Countries for free, Sisi said, adding that Egypt will create a database to update African countries on Ebola disease development and vaccines.
 
West of African has been stricken with Ebola virus in early 2014; since then more than 11,100 people were killed and 26,900 others were infected, according to AmeriCare organization’s statistics on July 1. However, World Health Organization (WHO) declared the end of the Ebola outbreak in many countries such as Liberia.
 
Economically, President Sisi highlighted the necessity of activating the outcomes of a tripartite summit comprise members of  the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and the East African Community (EAC.)On June 7, the three bodies have agreed in Sharm el-Sheikh to establish a free trade zone among their 26 member states.
 
Concerning press freedom, Sisi affirmed that there is no Egyptian journalist imprisoned over publication-related crimes.
 
In 2013, Nile Basin Countries have agreed to establish a trade route linking between Lake Victoria and the Mediterranean by building new ports, harbors, docks on the Nile River. In June, Sisi noted that Egypt has exerted efforts to launch this project.
