Mohamed Salmawy, head of the Arab Writers Union, has requested the Interior Minister facilitate the entry of Arab writers and intellectuals who have completed formalities and received visas from Egyptian embassies abroad.
“Some Arab writers told me Cairo airport authorities denied them entry although they had visas,” he said
Salmawy said in a letter to the minister that this procedure would improve Egypt’s image with Arab guests who consider it their home, given its civilization, culture and the deep historic relationship with all Arab countries.
