Egypt’s national weather forecaster has predicted that the current heatwave, which has to date claimed the lives of 95 people, will gradually decline starting Tuesday.
The head of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), Ahmed Abdelaal, said, however, that temperatures will reach their peak on Sunday and Monday, becoming as high as 42 degrees during the day with surging humidity expected.
Abdelaal, speaking to the satellite TV channel al-Hayat late Friday, said that citizens will be unlikely to detect a decline in the temperature due to high humidity.
