An other Day another time I have to ask people who many times A person is born or dies?
Weird question I had to ask it to weak up people who want to impose their own will over God’s will!
Yesterday Saturday 15th of August 2015 in many parts of the world is the celebration day of Saint Mary Jesus Mother that was honoured even in Islam! Some true Egyptians being Muslims will not stop them from honouring St. Mary and fast her fasting days moreover some of them would fast from 1st of August until 22nd of August -three whole weeks and it is not a must for them or their religion!
I’m still lost in the issue, I do understand habits -good or bad- had to be fought to overcome them, drug addicted people like any person are pressured by the reality that many of us do not like, so because of their weakness they would run away from reality in an imaginary world using drugs! The issue is if you can not change what you do not like at least do not let it spoil your life!
You all know and I said it in many different occasions I was born of Greek Mother and Egyptian Father which I love and respect a lot since they left me alone in this world I never forgot them or stopped loving them! My 1st ever teacher Mme Parry God Bless her if she’s still alive or bless her soul if she had left our world taught my how to pray and what is God, religion, and obviously as a Greek teacher she taught me Greek Christian orthodox sect! That is on 25th of March BC the archangel Michael announced to the virgin Mary -St. Mary- the good news of being pregnant by the holly spirit with our saviour Jesus Christ, and nine moths later of the 25th of December she gave birth to Jesus!
I was taught that of the 6th of January about 30 years later St. Jean the Baptist Baptised Jesus on Jordan River so the 6th of January is the well known Epiphany -meaning in Greek language the appearance- of the holly spirit in the shape of a Pigeon and God spoke saying “This is my beloved son”! And within those teachings I was taught that on August the first and for 2 weeks we fast in respect to the Virgin St. Mary that was honoured in her time and for ever and ever amen!
In my long extended life I had to meet and learn other sects, the so called Egyptian Orthodox sect that in spit of its name “Orthodox” differs in may ways that the Greek one mainly in the celebration days and dates! I interacted as well with the Catholic sect and many different versions of the apostolic, protestants, and even those who believe that accepting Jesus as your saviour grants you paradise! I’m not to criticise or evaluate those sects it is not my job and it is not what God asked me to do in our daily prayer we always say: “
Our Father Who art in heaven; hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, in Christ Jesus our Lord.
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever. Amen.”
Let me repeat it over and over again................
Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

That is we are to accept and do the WILL Of GOD not our will!!!!!
Why I say that because I learned and I do know for a fact that many people specially in Canada and Egypt attached to their customs and traditions refuse to unify the occasions just because they do not want to be lost within different dates than the ones they had the habit to celebrate them why should I bother with Christmas dates 25/12 or 7/1? Important thing is celebration that is we assume Jesus was born twice same thing with his resurrection we oversee a simple fact that only ONCE in Jerusalem the holly light shines the place that hosted his holly body!
I’m not an archaeologist neither have the means to evaluate which dates are right or wrong I’m just a simple Christian that tries his best to follow what God had asked us to do and LET THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH LIKE IT IS IN HEAVEN!
I rest my case and wish the world and Egypt a happy celebration with St. Mary and her fast and feast!
