Father Stephen Shehata, agent of Samalout Bishopric, said that Samalout Bishopric waiting for permissions to start building church of the martyrs in Awr village.
A group of Copts from Awr village have been killed by ISIS in Libya last February. Later, it was decided to build a church on their names in the village.
It's worth mentioning that the militants of the village didn’t accept building the church and had demonstrated against it before they attack the Copts and their properties. Later, a customary reconciliation session was held and decided to set the building on a different piece of land. However, the permissions have not been issued yet.
