Father Stephen Shehata, agent of Samalout Bishopric, said that opening of St. Mary Church in Galaa village, Samalout, will be very soon. The building has been completed and there are currently no sectarian problems between Muslims and Christians in the village.
It worth mentioning that Muslims of the village stopped the church constructions for years in spite of acquiring the due permissions and the existence of a large number of Copts inside the village that witnessed violent acts.
