Wahid Shenouda, coordinator of protest against wrong way to handle church financial problems in front of St. Mark Cathedral in Abbasiya on September 9 denied the protest is against the Pope, and assured that it comes to fix wrong situation in the diocese and Personal Status Law.He explained that police have contacted them in order to prepare for the protest that several people participate in from all over Egypt.
Shenouda added that the protestors are Coptic people who refuse the wrong way to handle church financial problems. Moreover, they are going to demand to elect members of the General Congregation Council with an effective participation from young people.
