Cairo - Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak will visit Paris next week before heading to Washington for the relaunch of direct Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations, the official Gomhuriya newspaper reported Saturday.
The visit to Paris will take place on Monday and Mubarak will then head the next day to meet in Washington with US President Barack Obama and King Abdullah of Jordan ahead of the relaunch.
On September 2, direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians are scheduled to begin, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Mahmoud Abbas meeting face to face in the US capital.
