President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi is scheduled to arrive Tuesday in Beijing for a three-day visit to meet a range of high-level officials.
Sisi will meet with Huawei Technologies representatives Tuesday, while his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, who will hold a lunch banquet for Sisi, will be held Wednesday in the Great Hall of the People, Youm7 reported.
Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang will hold a dinner banquet for Sisi and his accompanied delegation on Wednesday. On Thursday, Sisi will attend a military parade in celebration of the 70th anniversary of China’s Victory Day, marking the Chinese victory over Japan during WWII.
Sisi and his delegation will discuss with Chinese industries a deal to transport and distribute electricity in Egypt, announced Egyptian Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker Monday.
Chinese experts said that Sisi will tackle a project to revive the Silk Road, which used to link China and Egypt though the Mediterranean or Syria.
China is the last stop in Sisi’s Asian tour, after state visits to Indonesia and Singapore to bolster bilateral cooperation in various fields.
In his visit to Singapore, Sisi attended signature of a memorandum of understanding between of the Suez Canal Authority and the Singaporean Hyflux Ltd. for water solutions to build three desalination plants in Egypt.
