A dead mouse was found on cables feeding the presidency hall at Cairo International Airport, causing several power cuts before President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s departure to New York City Thursday, Youm7 reported.
The power was cut off consecutive times at the hall after the mouse had bitten cables inside a power transformer, an official source at the airport told Youm7.
The source added that the power current was transferred to alternative lines automatically until the affected cables are fixed.
Preparations at the hall have been in full swing to receive Sisi, who has headed to New York City to participate in the 70th session of UN General Assembly.
