Coptic Orthodox Church mourned the plastic artist Sabri Nashed, Supreme Council of Culture member and former general manager of museums and exhibitions at Fine Arts Authority.
The great artist was born in Qena province in January 1st, 1938, and received a Bachelor of Applied Arts Sculpture Department in 1962.
Nashed won numerous awards from many local and international exhibitions. His artworks occupies a number of prominent places inside and outside Egypt, including The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cairo Opera House, Panorama October 6, Egyptian Museum of Modern Art, the main conference hall in Nasr City, Gamal Abdel Nasser subway station, the Museum of African Art in Washington, and the Museum of Tito in Yugoslavia.
It is worth mentioning that he is a brother of two Coptic bishops: Abba Cyril, Bishop of Milan, and Abba Peter, Bishop of Shebin Qanater.
