Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, arrived in Atlanta Airport in the United States of America for a pastoral care visit.
Pope was received by Ayman al-Bassiouni, the Egyptian consul in Washington, Abba Serapion, Bishop of Los Angeles and Southern California and Hawaii, Abba Joseph, Bishop of South America, Abba Mina Bishop of Massaga Canada, Abba David, Bishop of New York, Abba Joseph, Bishop of Bolivia, Abba Michael, Bishop of Virginia, Abba Karas, Pontifical deputy in America, Abba Eklimindos, Bishop of Montreal Canada, and several priests in America.
It is worth mentioning that this is the first visit of the Pope Tawadros to the United States since his inauguration in November 2012.
