Coptic voters were prevented from voting at Abwan village, Matay, and the city of Minya.
 
Dr. Ihab Ramzy, a Coptic candidate at Matay, said that the Islamic candidates used Islamic slogans in order to mobilize the people to vote in favor of the Islamic candidates and incite them against the Coptic candidates.
