Crowds of supporters of Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi gathered in front of his residence in London Thursday to chant their support, Video 7 recorded.
The president visited the UK government headquarters Thursday, to meet with Prime Minister David Cameron as well as Defense Minister Stephen Fallon.
Days before Sisi’s planned visit, a Russian plane crashed in the Sinai, killing all 224 on board. Although Cairo is adamant that it is too early to announce the cause of the crash, hinting at possible malfunctions on the aircraft, Cameron stated that there was a “possibility” that Islamic State militants had planted a bomb on the plane.
London has halted flights to and from Sharm el-Sheikh, in a move the Egyptian presidency said was “unilateral.”
An international team of experts are currently reviewing the crash site.
